International workshop on heat pumping technology in Stockholm, Sweden

On May 23, Sweden is hosting a seminar which provides a unique opportunity to receive the latest information on the worldwide development of heat pumping technology.This year the Executive Committee for the International Energy Agency Heat Pump Programme is held at KTH on May 24-25. In connection with this meeting, a workshop is held on the 23rd May with many distinguished speakers who provide a fascinating insight into the heat pumping technology in areas such as research, new applications and policy issues.

The seminar will give an insight into the market and policy issues in various parts of the world. Antonio Bouza from the U.S. Department of Energy will talk about the situation in the United States, and representatives from Japan, Canada and Europe will present their markets. The afternoon sessions will be held on new applications and research, where researchers from Sweden, Germany and Austria will present results on for example heat pumps in smart cities, new refrigerants and new recommendations for comparisons between heat pump systems.

The seminar is organized by the IEA Heat Pump Centre, SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden, the Swedish Energy Agency, the Swedish Heat Pump Association and the Royal Institute of Technology.
